Reimbursement of Upskilling Allowance
To encourage graduate apprentices to continue working in the Specified Trade and pursue further skill development, the Government grants a maximum allowance of HK$30,000 to each eligible graduate apprentice. Graduate apprentices should continue working in the Specified Trade after completing their Contracts of Apprenticeship between 1 April 2024 and 31 March 2027, and complete the Upskilling Course(s) within 39 months from the completion of apprenticeship training. The maximum reimbursement amount rests with the duration of full-time work experience in the Specified Trade. Reaching post-apprenticeship work experience in the Trade of 18 or 36 months can apply for reimbursement amount up to HK$10,000 and HK$20,000 respectively. The Course(s) should be validly registered under the Qualifications Register and relevant to the Specified Trade at the same or higher Qualifications Framework level than training programme undertaken during the apprenticeship.
